In a double whammy of tweets over on that Twitter thing, LucasArts recently announced that the Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition would be heading to PSN and Mac, before confirming our initial suspicions that LeChuck's Revenge: Special Edition would also be inbound.

The tweet stated, "Oh yeah, another thing: LeChucks Revenge: Special Edition is official! New puzzles, new enemies, new hair!"

Unfortunately, it's the GDC LucasArts party at the moment and they're probably too drunk to let us know platforms, prices and release dates, but as soon as we know, we'll loop you in.

We're assuming it's going to be an Xbox Live Arcade jobby... you know, after the original sold 23 trillion copies.*

[Update:] Joystiq who are attending the LucasArts GDC party have just confirmed that this will see an Xbox Live Arcade release, as suspected.

They also report that according to the publisher, the new version will receive a new control mechanism that allows you to "move Guybrush around, so you feel more connected to him."

Of course, the other special edition treatment is also on the cards.
